The Internal Revenue Service is looking to bolster its compliance
presence by hiring qualified revenue agents in Birmingham and three
other Alabama cities.
The new agents in Birmingham, Dothan, Huntsville and Montgomery are
among hundreds of agents the IRS is adding nationwide.
Revenue agents generally conduct on-site examinations of individual,
business and corporate tax returns.
